Kandya ‘Trimma’ kitchen wall unit 1950s
A 1950s kitchen wall cabinet designed in 1956 by Frank Guille – part of the ‘Trimma’ range of modular kitchen units made by Kandya.
A classic piece of post-war kitchen design and a precursor of the modern fitted kitchen. This cabinet could also be used as an informal, display cabinet in other settings.
Constructed from solid beech and plywood. The sliding doors have been painted in a light blue and dark grey (Farrow & Ball Lulworth Blue and Downpipe) to echo the original colour-scheme but could also be supplied repainted in a colour of your choice – please message for details. Exterior paint colour: F&B Blackened. The shelf can be moved to a higher or lower position.
Fully restored and refinished. Small marks, blemishes and light signs of wear consistent with age.
