Sideboard by Val Rossi for Beithcraft 1960s

A long teak sideboard designed by Val Rossi for Beithcraft, Scotland in the late 1960s.

Beautifully simple lines with rounded corners that are the hallmarks of Rossi’s designs for Beithcraft. Finished in a light-toned golden teak, this 7ft sideboard has two central cupboards with removable shelves. When closed, the darker, semi-recessed handles create a butterfly form. At the right-hand end there is a cocktail cabinet with drop-down door and a shelf. At the left-hand end there are three graduated drawers. The top drawer is lined with royal blue baize with dividers for cutlery and bears the Beithcraft maker’s label.

Very good restored condition with only minor marks and blemishes consistent with age. Cleaned and re-oiled with Danish oil.
