Drop-leaf desk in oak by Libraco 1930s
A vintage oak desk made by Libraco of London in the 1930s.
This compact single-pedestal desk has a drop-leaf extension and an additional pull-out writing shelf above the two drawers when more space is needed. This desk would be ideal for the home office or study.
Libraco produced high-quality library furntiure and fittings during the first part of the twentieth century. This finely crafted desk has simple, elegant Arts & Crafts lines with a flowing carved detail on the drawer fronts.
Good vintage condition with a natural wax finish. There are some light scratches on the main desk top and some other small marks and dents consistent with age.
Maker’s label at the front under the desk top.
