PS System modular Danish teak shelving 1960s

SOLD

A selection of modular wall units from the popular PS System designed by Preben Sørensen in the early 1950s and manufactured in Denmark by Randers Møbelfabrik during the 1960s.

This supremely versatile system can be configured in countless combinations with each of the shelves and cabinets independently hung on metal pins inserted into holes along the two-metre rails.

The open shelves are supported by full-width solid teak brackets held by PS System’s patented fixing: a three pin aluminium plate that engages with the bracket and wall rail.

This combination comprises 5 x 2m wall rail; 5 x 20cm book shelves; 2 x 25cm book shelves; 3 x 30cm book shelves; sliding-door cabinet 50h x 46.5d; drop-down door cabinet w/ lock & key 40h x 35d; 2 x glass front cabinet 51h x 25d; double drawer unit 28.5h x 30d; drawer unit with undershelf 28.5h x 30d; brackets, hanging pins and shelf supports. All units are 80cm wide.

Good vintage condition; some minor marks and wear consistent with age.

Another similar set of PS units is also available and modules could be combined on a mix-and-match basis to create a bespoke combination. Contact for more details.
