Art Deco cocktail cabinet 1930s

SOLD

A 1930s Art Deco walnut cocktail cabinet with ornate brass handles.

The large lower cabinet has two doors, each finished in distinctively figured quarter-matched walnut veneer. It has a working lock and key, and inside there is a shelf and a bottle stand with circular cut-outs. The upper cabinet opens with a drop down door mechanism that raises the top to reveal a bar interior. It contains an original silver-plated (EPNS) lemon squeezer and 5 cocktail picks with red bakelite ends. The back of the cabinet is mirrored and a light has been added that switches on as the cabinet is opened. The inside of the drop-down door has a pink and gold candy-stripe glass preparation surface and a rack to hold 6 stemmed cocktail glasses.

A very elegant cabinet from which to enjoy your cocktail hour.

Good overall condition. Some small marks and blemishes to the exterior as you would expect for a piece of this vintage (see photos). One cocktail pick missing. Small veneer repair at right-hand end of the lid.

Approx.dimensions (cm): 83w x 40d x 120h
