Safari chairs by Erik Wørts for Niels Eilersen, Denmark 1960s

SOLD

A pair of Danish mid-century ‘safari’ chairs designed by Erik Wørts for Niels Eilersen and produced in the 1960s

Beechwood frames with original canvas slings and brass fittings on the arms.
Wørts’s design is based on traditional campaign-chairs for expeditions and safari: the beechwood frames are easily disassembled and the slings rolled up for safe and easy transport and storage. The original natural-coloured canvas slings show some signs of light fading and small marks but are in good working condition, strong and sound with no tears.

Will be shipped disassembled for safe transport.

Approx. dimensions (cm): 76h x 61 x 61; seat height:39
