Art Nouveau walnut tallboy 1930s Austria/Hungary

A beautiful 1930s tallboy

with a shelved cupboard over three drawers finished in sumptuously grained walnut veneer. It was apparently imported to the UK from Austria in 1938 although the Art Nouveau styling of the handles and solid quality of the construction suggest Hungarian origin. Original lacquered finish and round bakelite handles. Sits on a base with castors.
Small repair to corner of upper drawer (pictured) otherwise in very good condition. Original working lock although the key has been replaced.
A matching large double wardrobe is also available.
