‘Dorrington’ rosewood table & chairs by Robert Heritage for Archie Shine 1974
ON HOLD
Dining table with two carvers and two chairs. ‘Dorrington’ model designed by Robert Heritage in the mid-1960s for Archie Shine
This particular set was sold through Heal’s, London in 1974. The chair frames have fluted stick backs and are made of solid rosewood. They have been re-upholstered with new fire-retardant foam and covered in a cocoa coloured velvet. The 5’6″ table extends to 7′ with an additional leaf which can be stored underneath when not in use. As is usually the case, here is a slight tonal difference between the extension and main table top due to light exposure but it is not pronounced.
