English Art Deco walnut wardrobe Shrager 1940s

A compact Art Deco ‘Gentleman’s’ wardrobe made in the 1940s by Shrager.

The serpentine front is finished in very striking burr walnut veneers in a book-matched pattern. Ornate tasselled Bakelite handles and working locks with key. Full-length hanging on one side and two drawers with shelf above and a hanging rail below on the other.

Bears the maker’s bronzed metal nameplate and the CC41 Utility stamp on the back.

Some minor historic repairs and signs of wear comensurate with age. The exterior has been re-polished.
