Danish Royal System teak shelving by Poul Cadovius

A collection of units from the iconic Royal System modular shelving series originally designed by Poul Cadovius in 1948 and manufactured by his own company.

This pioneering shelf system won the gold medal at the Finland Furniture Fair in 1950 and silver medal in Milan in 1957.

Finished in teak with solid afromosia upright wall rails and black-coated steel shelf hangers. This collection includes a bureau unit with a distinctive basket-weave front and a sloping magazine/display shelf.

Good condition. Minor restorations. Glass doors have been replaced with perspex. Magazine shelf brackets have been replaced.

This set includes 4 x 175cm wall rails; 1 x drop-down door bureau cabinet with drawers and letter racks 42.5h x 37.5d; 1x glass-door cabinet 33.5h x 24.5d; 1 x magazine shelf 31d; 1 x wide desk/shelf 56d ; 1 x shelf 37.5d; 1 x shelf 40d; 2 x shelf 30d. All units 80cm wide. Overall width 245cm.
