English Art Deco burr maple table rounded corners 1930s
SOLD
An attractive Art Deco dining table made in England in the 1930s.
Burr maple top with rounded corners supported on two rectangular pedestals decorated with a faux burr woodgrain effect of the type used in many Biedermeier style pieces. It appears that at some point in the table’s history it has been modified from being a fixed 6ft x 3ft table to having a central section that can be removed to produce a smaller 4ft wide table or re-extended when required. The convoluted flowing grain of the table top veneer does have some historic flaws and signs of wear but remains stunningly beautiful to look at.
Approx. dimensions (cm): 183(122)w x 91.5d x 77h
Delivery to mainland GB included.
The table will be dismantled for ease and safety of transport (three top sections and two pedestals).
