Dining table Model 540 by Finn Juhl (1958) for France & Søn

A fantastic quality vintage Danish dining table: Model 540, designed by Finn Juhl in 1958 for France & Søn and manufactured in the early 1960s.

Originally an extending table, the extension leaves are no longer present but this remains a large and impressive dining table which can comfortably seat six. Exceptionally for a dining table of this era it is constructed from solid teak throughout without the use of veneered boards. The substantial, round, tapered legs support the frame which is shaped to echo the overhanging lip at each end which acts as the handle to draw the table top apart. The legs have metal adjusters at the bottom in order to accommodate any uneven floor. The very highest quality of Danish design and workmanship. The table has been restored and refinished.
Bears the France & Søn maker’s badge and a stamped serial number.
Approx. dimensions (cm): 186w x 100d x 74h

Delivery to mainland GB included.
The table will be shipped with the legs detached for ease and safety of transport.
