Troeds ‘Garmi’ teak dining chairs by Nils Jonsson

A set of four vintage Swedish teak dining chairs ‘Garmi’ by Nils Jonsson for Hugo Troeds, 1960s.

Simple elegant chairs with a double backrail and tapered legs. They are stamped underneath with the maker, designer, model name, and Troeds trademark ‘Bra Bohag’ – which translates as ‘good things for the home’.

The frames are made of solid teak of very fine quality and are in good original condition with just minor signs of wear. The chairs can be unbolted for transport or storage. The wood has been gently cleaned and oiled to revive the natural beauty of the teak grain. All the seats have been newly reupholstered in high-quality black vinyl leather and new foam to meet current UK fire regulations.
