Dining set ‘Dinette’ by Hans Olsen for Frem Røjle 1960s

A classic Danish teak dining table and 6 chair set ‘Dinette’ model designed by Hans Olsen and produced by Frem Røjle in the 1960s

Compact circular dining set with an integral butterfly extension mechanism which expands from 4 to 6 places. In this iconic design the chairs fit seamlessly beneath the table when not in use forming a continuous band of beautifully grained afromosia wood. The extra chairs can be stacked when not in use. A stunning dining set perfect for use in any setting, particularly where space is at a premium.

The six triangular tripod chairs have frames made of solid afromosia with a distinctive black inlay detail on the back rail. The chairs have been fully restored with newly upholstered seats covered in black vinyl.

Light signs of wear consistent with age. One chair has a historic repair which has been reinforced where the backrest joins the legs (see photo). The table top has a few small marks and scratches and also a 80mm strip of veneer has been repaired on each side of the table where the two halves meet (see photos),
