Four teak dining chairs with woven paper-cord seats designed by Arne Hovmand Olsen for Mogens Kold Denmark 1960s.
An understated classic dining chair design with finely tapered spindles made of a warm-toned teak and with comfortable concave seats woven with typically Danish, spun paper cords.
These chairs are in very good original condition with frames and seats sound and intact with no breaks or loose threads in the original paper-cord. There is some abrasion and marking to the seats consistent with their age each of them is photographed here.

Mogens Kold Møbelfabrik
The son of a family sawmill business in Copenhagen, Mogens Kold founded his eponymous furniture company in 1950. He collaborated with some of the most famous names in Danish mid-century such as Ib Kofod Larsen, Nanna Ditzel, and Arne Hovmand Olsen to produce classics of Danish furniture design that were exported across the world and which continue to be sought after and cherished today.
