Teak coffee table by Arne Hovmand Olsen for Mogens Kold

A classic coffee table design by Arne Hovmand Olsen for Mogens Kold produced in Denmark in the 1960s.

The long, sweeping teak table-top has upturned ends and an inset mosaic panel in black, blue, red, and green tiles in an abtract pattern that now rather suggests the graphics of early 1980s computer games – though it obviously predates them. The panel provides a very practical stand for hot coffee pots as well as being a very distinctive decorative feature.
The top appears to float above a simple trapezoid leg-frame supporting a magazine shelf of open-weave rattan panels which have now been fully restored with new cane.
Some faint marks on the table top consistent with its vintage but otherwise in very good restored condition.
