G-plan Sideboard

A selection of modular wall units from the popular PS System designed by Preben Sørensen in the early 1950s and manufactured in Denmark by Randers Møbelfabrik.

This supremely versatile system can be configured in countless combinations with each of the shelves and cabinets independently hung on metal pins inserted into holes along the vertical rails.

This combination comprises 4 x 1.5m wall rail; 2 x 20cm book shelves with brass suspension arms; 2 x 20cm book shelf with teak brackets; 2 x double drawer units 30cm d x 28.5cm h; 1 x open box shelf unit 30cm d x 28.5 cm h; 2 x glass door cabinets 20cm d x 51cm h; hanging pins and shelf supports. All units are 80cm wide.

Good vintage condition; some minor marks and wear consistent with age including a dark blemish on one of the shelves (see photos); small restorations.

Other sets of PS units are also available and modules could be combined on a mix-and-match basis to create a bespoke combination.
