Rosewood Sideboard 4060 Ib Kofod-Larsen for G-plan Danish Design

A rarely available Bombay rosewood Model 4060 high-sideboard/credenza.

Designed by renowned Danish designer Ib Kofod Larsen for G-Plan Danish Design.

It has simple and distinctive lines with large split circular handles with upholstered leather face. The fine legs are made of solid rosewood.

Kofod Larsen’s original design dates from 1964. He revised it later, altering the under-frame. This model was made available for sale in 1966.

The right-hand cupboard contains a removable drinks tray. The cutlery draw has a grey baize lining and two further linen drawers. The left-hand cupboard has an adjustable shelf. The cabinet is set on a tall, elegant framework. Superb original condition with a beautiful patina. Light signs of use. There is a small area of restorationon back left corner of the top; and there is a small dark mark on the far left-hand door (both pictured).
