Danish teak desk Model EP401 (Ejgil Petersen) 1960s

A classic Danish desk design in teak and aluminium Model EP 401
originally manufactured by Ejgil Petersen. Widely, but erroneously attributed to Kai Kristiansen.
Double pedestal design with six drawers and open bookshelves at the back of the desk. It’s a refined minimalist design with simple straight lines and concealed handles with an inset aluminium detail. Brushed aluminium sockets at the base of the legs.
Produced by Sakskøbing Møbel & Inventarfabrik, Denmark in the 1960s.
Good condition. There are a few minor marks and minor damage including some tiny veneer repairs at the drawer edges; a faint ring mark at the back of the desk top and some scratches to the base of a shelf at the rear of the desk (all pictured).
