Elegant Mid-Century sideboard designed by Nils Jonsson for Troeds, Sweden c.1960
Exterior made from solid and veneer teak of a golden honey colour with darker, recessed handles and legs. The interior is finished in blonde birch. Two sliding doors open to reveal cupboards with adjustable chamfered shelves. Four drawers, the upper drawer lined in blue baize with dividers and a sliding tray inset.
Clean architectural lines and exceptionally high-quality design and manufacture by renowned Swedish furniture makers Troeds Bjarnum. The Troeds company was founded in 1934 by Svea and Hugo Troeds and produced high-end furniture throughout the middle of the 20th Century. During the 1960s they were the principal manufacturers of the designs of Nils Jonsson at the height of his creative output.
Very good restored condition. Cleaned and refinished. Small veneer repair at the bottom of the left-hand door (pictured).
