A pair of very fine carver chairs in an early design by Robert Heritage for Archie Shine from the 1950s.

Made for dining but these exquisite chairs would make very fine and comfortable desk or occasional chairs too.
The French-polished teak frames were handmade in the Archie Shine workshop and differ slightly in their dimensions. Selling as a pair but would be willing to split.

Lots of attractive detail in the design with organic, sculpted arms; distinctive back rail with bridle joints; and raised buttons covering the back fixings. beautiful design and exceptional craftsmanship.

Fully restored and reupholstered with new Pirelli webbing and fire retardant fillings. Re-covered in a vintage-finish gold velvet.
