Vintage extendable table and chair set ‘Volnay’ model designed by John Herbert for A. Younger Ltd in the late 1950s.

Typically for this high-quality brand, the set is made from solid Afromosia throughout and makes good use of the wood’s flowing grain and rich colour. The table has two draw leaves which extend the table from 129cm to 170cm and 212 cm when used. Simple lines and refined design but with a very substantial feel.

The table and chair frames are in good original condition with just light signs of wear to the edges.
The seats have been reupholstered to meet modern fire regulations in a gold-coloured velvet but can also be recovered in a suitable material of your choice for just the cost of the fabric.
